Jen's Sparkle

Once again my wonderful friend Melissa
Dell is to blame for this amazing design! Not only did she ask me to make the set for her friend Jen, but the organza flower and crystals were her idea. A few months back Melissa sent me a link for DIY organza flowers thinking I could use them for my garters. I was a little nervous but with a little practice they turned out great. Melissa sent me some of the crystals she
was using on Jen's toppers and other fabulous accessories to use on the flower.

Sparkle and Pearls

As much as I love the wild and crazy creations I fell in love with this one as I was creating it. The classic elegance of the ivory and pearls paired perfectly with the silk flower and sparkle of the swarovski crystals. I've since made this four more times for brides who wanted a twist on the classic garter.

Kari Keeper - Ivory lace with ivory satin accent, ivory silk rose with pearls and clear swarvoski crystals, signature SomethingBlue bow $45

Kari Toss - Ivory lace with ivory satin accent, sheer ivory bow with satin edge $15 ($10 with coordinating keeper)

Vegas Baby

My good friend Ilsa asked me to create a vegas inspired garter for a friend who was getting married in vegas. I found gambling-esque fabric, added some maribou to reflect the showgirls, and a die charm plus some swarovski crystals to bring it all together.

Vegas Keeper - Black lace with playing card fabric accent, sheer black bow with satin boarder, red maribou, die bead, swarovski craystals at center of bow, and signature blue bow - $45

Camo Stacy

Stacy contacted me to do a garter that incorporated both her and her fiance's personalities. Her fiance is the outdoor type - hunts, fishes, walks around in camo (well not all the time). She wanted to surprise him with some camo on her garter mixed with elements from the wedding. The wedding colors were red, pink, and white and she was going to incoroporate feathers into her floral arrangements.

Stacy Keeper - Black lace with field camo accent. Black satin bow with black feather accents and small red and pink satin bows, single swarovski crystal at center, signature blue bow - $45

Stacy Toss - Black lace with field camo accent. Black satin bow with red and pink satin tails - $15 ($10 with coordinating keeper)

Uniquely Their Own

Though I love to make all my garters, my favorites are when I get the green light to go crazy and be creative. Garters can be that one accessory that use brides to really show off their (and their groom's) personalities on their big day. Here are some examples of my wildier and crazier creations!!!

Peacock Nicole

Nicole, another friend of Melissa, designed her wedding around the colors of the peacock feather. I am always up for a challenge and looked forward to creating her special garters. I wanted to focus on the beautiful blue in the eye of the feather and Nicole wanted the accent color to be black. I assed a little sparkle at the center of the bow for some added bling.

Special thanks to Aileen Secord for the beautiful photo!
Nicole Keeper ~ Black lace with blue accent, sheer black bow with satin trim, peacock feather, swarovki crystals $45

Katie's Outdoor Wedding

Katie is a good friend of ours. As she made her wedding plans I was sure to keep up on the colors, theme, etc. She chose brown for her bridesmaid dresses and she wore a beautiful off white dress. The ceremony and reception were both outside so I wanted her garter to have a simple elegance.

Katie Keeper $30- Ivory lace, brown satin accent, brown satin bow with sheer ivory accents, added polka dotted ribbon.
Katie Toss $15 ($10 with coordinating keeper)- Ivory lace with brown satin accent, sheer brown and polka dotted bow, ivory ribbon accent.
